About Royal Bank of Scotland statements

Importing into Xero

In Xero go to Accounting > Bank accounts > Manage account > Import a statement and choose the downloaded file. Xero's Stripe feed only records fees automatically for invoices paid through Xero. For everything else you post the payout journal yourself; PayoutParse produces it in Xero's manual journal CSV format (Accounting > Manual journals > Import).

When you'd use this instead of a bank feed

Bank feeds cover the last 12 months at most and only from the day you connect them. Historic periods, closed accounts, accounts a client won't connect, and statements handed over as PDFs at year end all need a file import. That is what this is for.
