PayoutParse

Statements in, import files out. The totals are checked first.

Upload a PDF or CSV from any UK bank, or from Stripe, PayPal, SumUp, Square or Shopify. You get a file Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or FreeAgent imports. Before you download, the lines are cast and checked against the statement's own closing balance. If they don't agree, the pages aren't charged.

Your first 5 pages are free. No card, no account until you download.

You feed it in

One file at a time. PDF statements, CSV exports, or a phone photo of a paper statement.

Every line is read

Date, description, amount and the running balance where the statement prints one. Payout reports also get gross, fees, refunds and net.

The tape is cast

Opening balance plus movements must equal the closing balance. For payouts, gross less fees less refunds must equal net.

Or it says so

If the totals don't agree you see the difference, the file is marked needs review, and the pages are not charged.

Payout reports, not just bank statements

A Stripe or PayPal payout lands in the bank as one figure. The sales, fees and refunds behind it are in the provider's report, and the accounting software's bank feed doesn't see them. Xero's own Stripe feed only records fees for invoices paid through Xero. For everything else somebody posts a journal by hand.

PayoutParse reads the payout report and produces that journal: gross sales, processing fees, refunds, chargebacks and the net that matches the bank line. It comes out as a Xero manual journal CSV, or a plain journal CSV for anything else. See Stripe to Xero, PayPal to Xero or the full list.

Questions people ask

Is it accurate?
It is checked, which is more useful than a percentage. Each file is cast against the statement's own totals and you see whether it agrees before you import. Scanned statements with faint print are the ones most likely to come back as needs review.
What do you keep?
Nothing you upload. Files and results are deleted within an hour. We keep your email address, your page balance and a log of file names and page counts so you can see what was charged.
Do I need an account?
Only to download. You upload first and see the tape. To download you enter an email address and we send a sign-in link. There are no passwords.
What does a page cost?
Your first 5 pages are free. After that, packs of 50, 250 or 1,000 pages from £9. Pages never expire. See pricing.
What if a bank isn't listed?
Try it anyway. The reader is not built per bank; the list on the formats pages is there because people search for their bank by name.
